A Road To a Healthy Life
This post is a broad topic on "Healthy Living" not just by what you eat, or how you exercise but it covers every aspect of life and steps to get to your happiest and healthiest you can possibly be! Many people spend day after day dealing with unnecessary stress and worry. We forget how unbelievably beautiful life can be. This is a lesson I just started to learn and I am still learning. You need to stop trying to live up to everyone Else's vision of perfect and start living for you! Everyone's life will still go on no matter what you do, so do not give up your happiness or dreams for anyone else. At the end of the day, you are what matters most. So be what you want, do what you want, be happy, and live happy!
Be a No Drama Mamma
We may not like it, but life comes with drama. There will always be drama no matter what. But you can try your best to stay out of it! Through School and even after there will be drama all around you. Its up to you to choose to ignore it. It is a lot easier than you think and makes you feel so much better. It starts with realizing that as much as you may be curious and interested in other peoples lives, It is best to keep your distance from it. Another way to either stay out of drama or to deal with it correctly, Is to admit when you were wrong! We are humans, It is natural for us to have a sense of pride when it comes to admitting our wrongs. We can't help the feeling that we constantly need to be right. But that doesn't mean we can't admit that we were wrong. Most fights are started because one person won't admit what they did and apologize. So get it over with, and you will feel so much better once you admit it, then you can move on! It is that easy. Life is way too short to constantly be dealing with drama. Have fun and enjoy the time you have with the people you love.
Simple Swaps
If you are like me, before this lifestyle change, you were barely watching what you were eating. Going from eating horrible processed food to mostly healthy can be very tough. By making simple swaps in what you eat can lead you on a path to healthy eating much easier! For example, My name is Jessica and I am a coffee addict. I absolutely love coffee and have to have it daily. I like mine with milk and vanilla creamer which is horrible for you! So I decided to research one ways to make my morning coffee not completely throw off my day. I now swap my 2% Dairy Milk with Unsweetened Original Almond Milk. Almond or Soy Milk can scare some people but my coffee has never tasted better! I do not personally like the Almond Milk on its own. But anything I mix milk in usually, I now swap with Almond Milk. It is great in smoothies, cereal, coffee and much more! Why Almond Milk? uh, because it is only 30 Calories! Yes, I said it, 30! As opposed to milk which is 130-160 Calories! That simple swap can cut your calorie count in more than half! This is one of many simple swaps that can lead to a healthy eating lifestyle!
Take Me Time
Having time for yourself is so important in being relaxed and stress free! Each week make time to do something for yourself whether it is getting your nails done or cuddling up with some coffee on Saturday morning with your favorite book, or even having an at home facial night! By taking that time, you are pulling yourself back and realizing how wonderful your life is and how much you needed to just relax and all of those unnecessary stresses and worries seem completely unimportant in that moment. Do not use the excuse that you do not have time. If you have an hour free to watch X Factor, you can make the time to relax and breathe. Before you can take care of anything or anyone else, you must first take care of yourself!
