Makeup Looks
for the Holidays
Around the holidays, makeup trends start to change dramatically. Eye shadow, lipstick and blush lean towards darker shades. Smokey eyes and deep red lips come full force in the winter and thank goodness! I paired my favorite eye makeup looks for the holidays with the products to create each of the four. If you have any holiday themed requests you would like to see then leave a comment below!

1. Buxom Lash Waterproof Mascara 19.00 2. Loreal Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liner 8.99 3. NYX Single Shadow Vanilla Sky 5.00 4. Sephora Collection Gold Glitter Liner 7.00
I have seen this photo circulating all through Pinterest this week and have fallen in love! How come I have never thought of layering a gold glitter over a cat eye liner! Genius! This look is extremely simple to achieve all you need is a steady hand and a little bit of patience. Step One: Apply NYX Eyeshadow in Vanilla Sky to your lid and brow bone. Step Two: Lightly sweep a light brown shade over your crease and instead of sweeping it to your inner corner, go slightly upward at an angle toward the brow. ( Fun Fact: That was a tip which Marilyn Monroe's Makeup artist used to get the typical Marilyn eye. You could also try using a white eyeliner to your waterline to create a brighter look) Step Three: Create an infamous Cat Eye. Click HERE for my favorite CatEye Video Tutorial. Step Four: Apply the light brown to a small eyeliner brush very lightly to your bottom lash line. Step Five: Time for the glitter! By using a glitter with a brush will help you get a clean straight line. Line above the black liner from the center of lid to the edge of the wing. Do the same to the bottom last line from the tear duct to the middle. Step Six: Curl your lashes and apply 2-3 coats of your favorite mascara!
1. NYX Single Shadow Flamingo 4.99 2. NYX Single Shadow Iced Mocha 4.99 3. Badgal Smudge Liner 20.00 4. Travel Size Supercurling Mascara 10.00 5. Winks by Georgia L'amour' Faux Lashes 15.00
If you a heading out to a party this holiday and want a smokey eye with out the typical black then this look is not only just right, but perfect! The key to this look is to blend, blend, blend. You dont want harsh lines or you wont get a smokey affect. Lets get started! Step One: Apply NYX Eyeshadow in Flamingo to the lid and brow bone. Only apply a light coat, we will add more when we are blending. Step Two: With a blending brush take NYX Eyeshadow in Mocha and follow your crease to just about your tear duct, stopping just short of it. make sure its blended very well before moving to the next step. Step Three: Coat on more Flamingo Shadow to the lid and overlap the crease just barely to create a gradient affect. Step Four: Take any liquid liner and create a slight wing to your upper lash line. Step Five: Use your Badgal Liner to thickly line your bottom lash line connecting all of the way to the edge of the wing. Using the opposite end of the liner, smudge out the harsh lines. Step Five: Apply false lashes ( click HERE for my favorite Eyelash Application Video Tutorial) Apply your favorite mascara and there you have it!
1. Ulta Eyeshadow Galaxy 7.00 2. Benefit Theyre Real Mascara 10.00 3. Sephora Collection Glitter Liner 7.00 4. Badgal Liner 20.00
In these looks we have to have at least one black smokey eye right? What are holiday parties without it! This one is my favorite of the ones i have seen so far! By adding just a hint of glitter makes the look powerful but still subtle and not too overwhelming and flashy. Step One: Apply Ulta's Galaxy Eyeshadow heavily on the base of the lid. Take a clean blending brush and start smudging out the harsh edges up to right below the brow bone. Step Two: Lightly apply the silver glitter to the base of the eye. Try as best as you can to not pack it on, try to keep it even. Step Three: Line the bottom lash line and water line with Badgal Liner and smudge it lightly with the other end of the liner. Step Four: Curl your lashes. False lashes are optional then apply your mascara!
1. Loreal Lineur Intense Felt TIp Liner 8.99 2. Benefit Theyre Real Mascara 10.00 3. Sephora Collection Silver Glitter Liner 7.00 4. Loreal HiP Duo Shadow Electrified 8.50
Remember how i said the last smokey eye was my favorite? well, i changed my mind! This is STUNNING. The deep plum looks amazing during the winter months along with the glitter lining the lid, just amazing. Along with every smokey eye this take some blending but not as much as the others! This would be a great beginners tutorial! Here we go! Step One:Coat the Lid Base and Brow Bone with the Lighter of the duo shadow colors. Step Two: with a blending brush apply the plum color to your crease all the way to the tear duct. Be sure to blend the edges out. Step Three: With your Liquid Liner create a slight wing on the upper lash line and lightly line the bottom lash line. Step Four: Coat the remaining area of your lid above the black liner and below your crease with the glitter liner, pack it on girl! Step Five: Curl and coat your lashes with mascara. False Lashes are optional. Enjoy!
